Principle:
X-ring is its own double-acting seal with the ability of elastic sealing. Pre-compression by the initial installation produces a radial or axial contact stress and system pressure superposition to achieve the sealing function.
The superimposed sealing force increases as the system pressure increases. Under pressure, the star seal is like a fluid with a very high surface tension. The pressure can be evenly distributed to all the surface.
X-ring is widely used mainly for dynamic sealing,but its use by the constraints of pressure and speed

A piston, a piston rod, and a plunger for sealing the reciprocating motion.
A shaft or mandrel for sealing swing, rotation, or helical motion.
Static Seal Application:
Seal radially stationary parts such as sleeves, end caps, tubes.
Seal the axial stationary parts, such as flanges, cover and so on.
